What are the methods for producing white carbon black?

To produce high-quality white carbon black, it is necessary to start from product design, production process, production environment, and production supervision, but the quality and ethics of employees are also decisive factors. Only by establishing a benign mechanism can high-quality white carbon black products be produced, and there are mainly three production methods for white carbon black:
1. It is a chemical vapor deposition method. We also refer to it as pyrolysis, dry process, or combustion method. The raw materials are silicon tetrachloride, oxygen (or air), and hydrogen, which are generated through high-temperature reactions. The reaction formula is:
SiCl4+2H2+O2=SiO2+4HCl
2. Precipitation method, also known as sodium silicate acidification method. White carbon black is obtained by reacting water glass solution with acid, precipitation, filtration, washing, drying, and calcination. The reaction formula is:
Na2SiO3+2H+->White carbon black+2Na++H20
3. The new method mainly uses non-metallic minerals and their extensions as silicon sources. White carbon black was obtained by precipitation method. The key to technology is to transform crystalline silica and silicates into amorphous silica. The main raw materials include wollastonite, opal, halloysite, olivine, serpentinite, kaolin, hard kaolin, coal gangue, fly ash, etc.
At present, precipitation method is used to produce white carbon black, and most domestic production enterprises use precipitation method. The specific production method requires reference to relevant materials and practical production activities. To produce good white carbon black, besides selecting the right production method, the only way is through practice.
